Apple Support
Apple's support app, in 32 languages across 174 regions. Release captain or lead on six-plus releases since the 2022 home redesign.
What shipped
The Apple Support app is where people go for help with their devices: checking coverage, finding a store, booking a repair, reading support articles.
I joined the team in 2022. That year the home screen was rebuilt around a tiled device layout, with recommended articles based on the products you own and quick access to things like password reset. The following year brought a new tab bar with Support, Locations and Activity tabs, which reshaped how you get around the app: Activity lists your recent support history, and Locations surfaces nearby service providers. Both updates drew press coverage, and as of the 2023 release the app was available in 32 languages and 174 regions.
Beyond the headline releases, much of my work has been the steady kind that keeps a large app healthy: tracking down bugs and making architectural fixes, both in the app and in the shared frameworks it builds on. Along the way I've built features like store hours, store search and the repair and replacement flows, including AirPods replacement and quote review.
My role
iOS engineer at Apple since 2022. Alongside feature work I have been release captain or release lead on six-plus releases across four years. On an app this size that is mostly judgment under a deadline: what ships, what waits, what is worth holding a build for, and who needs to know right now.
I keep the implementation off this page. Happy to walk through it in conversation.
